ASPEN PARK DENTAL BUILDING

Chris Higuchi DDS and Bryan Williams DDS
General Dentistry and Orthodontics, 6 Chairs

With 360 degree pine covered mountain views, this one acre site is nestled in the upscale Village at Elk Crossing Development. The 3000 SF dental building has (6) operatories curving around the southwest orientation towards the best mountain vistas.

Designed for both general restorative dentistry and orthodontic practices, the operatories have a hybrid design for either practice.

Oriented on a north/south axis for energy efficiency, the design uses the solar exposure for passive heating, and flow through ventilation for passive cooling. The tiered metal roof has an upper row of operable windows and the offices have lower operable windows, so a breeze can be created through the building structure in transition months.

The exterior detail of the building employs materials from the Official Development Plan guidelines, including a standing seam metal roof, exposed milled timber details, and split face dry stack rock on thick feature walls.

A rustic mountain vocabulary is updated with clean lines and simple forms, carefully scaled to respond to the surrounding buildings.
