Super large transmission repair is the focus of Powershift, Inc.
Located within a large metal building, the office area was upgraded to improve the company’s appearance, efficiency, and productivity. With a new logo design and website development, the updated image of the company was integrated into the office interiors. Stainless steel transaction counters and studded corner guards protect the retro-industrial style desks from dents and scratches from steel transmission parts and shop carts. A suspended translucent resin interior sign acts as a spatial partition, shielding the incoming visitor from shop activity, while affirming the company identity. An additional wall sign in the president’s office is seen from the entrance, reinforcing the company image. Black granite countertops and slate cabinet fronts provide the textures of stone, contrasted by checkerplate clad cabinetry and low gauge stainless steel counters. The textured pattern of the carpet tile mimmicks the colors of grease and dirt, while glazed porcelain tile protects high traffic areas. Warm neutral colors, modern Mateo Grassi chairs, a black granite marble Knoll side table, and Herman Miller seating complete this remodel with a sense of low tech functional elegance.

"Lynne Thom Architects worked hard to give us a well integrated office update within our budget and to our standard of detail. Our office runs better and we are proud of our new look!"
